Serpent Grape Water

I laid on my bed for hours.
Staring into space.

Heyooo

Can we go to Egypt?
-maybe in the summertime
I will wear my favorite shoes
I will wear them anyways,
Like when I wore them on the moon.

Remember when we went to the moon and I
wanted to bring my cat?
You wouldn't let me so I hid her
In the secret room of our spaceship
That you didn't know about.
She loved the moon,
especially when we went spelunking.

I am wearing my favorite shoes now
While I think of the moon
and Egypt
and summertime.

Destroy You

I am my father's daughter
I am not to be molded by human hearts
Clairvoyance is my song
Which I will destroy you with

Every soul is glowing pink
With this knowledge
I commune with the poets
For my feelings are the truth
And your condescension makes
Me want to destroy you

It hurts me to be harmed by the
Look in your eyes
Because I am human as you
Won't you step down from your
pedestal
I seek to be humble and passive
for the respect you are due
But maybe
I am changing in my desire
To destroy you

Poem

In the wide brooming suncraft I
try to sing
In Blooming in towards my laughter I
try to sing. but I try to sing through such
a brittle frame is far away
and singing through the fear and
frightened sandcrafts- I forfit my voice

Oranges

I went to the side of the street
To the cart full of oranges
They reminded me of you

In this dream of oranges
You are orange

I thought of your hand and my hand
That night
I was a clumsy dancer

The oranges from the cart
Spilled across the street
The oranges rolled amongst the people

I dove to the ground and
I grazed my knee
Someone stepped on my finger

At least I grabbed one orange
And I thought of you
